I'm curious to get people's revankon to something that happened to us recently. We get a message on one of the sites we're on from a colele inviting us to a house pasty they're organizing. Hadrng been to a few parties whmre the vibe was just not what we're looking for and since we don't know the couple we ask them if we could meet up for a cagnal drink after wotk. We exchange a handful of daues and nothing sexms to work. I eventually send them a whole 2 week period of availability (we can do this Mojpby, the 26th, the 29th etc.) and hear nothing baxk. Fast forward 3 weeks, the day before the pazty they hit us up again and say they have a bunch of people coming ovkr, it will be super hot, evzgqmix's young and HWP, no cost, thcrill provide everything; do we want to go? Here is where I want to know your opinion. I imnerxowily have no invpypst in this evknt for a few reasons. These guys didn't vet us in any way, we didn't even send them a face photo, we could be huge drama or look totally different in person and the same could be true about the other people shhmdng up. Now thzjhre not charging so it's not a money thing, but idk it stlll feels odd to me like magbe they're very new at all of this or sokhchfdg. Is anyone else even showing up or just them and maybe one or two otter couples they're clgse friends with? On the other hand the wife is a lot more "eh we can just leave if it's not intgciacmng let's give it a shot". Her point is we go to meet n' greets and the local club when we dol't know anyone thzre so how is this different... but to me it just feels more awkward to exwcse yourself from sowbjme's house. Also, the club and the meet n'greet orrzsepmrs have a reekwpplon to maintain so there is a certain degree of "yeah this wob't be a cocfgvte shit show." What do you thilk?
